PETTING ZOO GUIDELINES
Set Up
Our animals are happiest when we are set up on grass and in the shade. The petting zoo should not be set up near food or concessions.
Location
Our animals get nervous about being around sounds they are not familiar with — especially “popping” or “banging” sounds. Please plan your layout accordingly if you have any activities planned with balloons, live bands or loud games.
Water
We do not travel with water. We will need access to water to fill water pails for our animals.
Cleanliness
We provide hand sanitizer, but it is recommended that you have a station with actual soap & water nearby. If guests are to use a bathroom instead, please have signs to direct them.
Unloading
We need an easy way to load and unload with our truck and livestock trailer. It is ideal if we are able to park nearby where we set up as we have animal supplies on our trailer.
Timing
We typically arrive 20–30 minutes before the start of your event.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the scheduled event may transfer the deposit to a new event date within six (6) months, subject to availability.
Cancellations made within 1–30 days of the scheduled event are non-refundable. If the event has been paid in full, 50% of the total event fee will be refunded. All deposits remain non-refundable.
Weather Policy
Heritage Ranch reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any event if conditions may compromise the safety of animals, staff, or guests. This includes, but is not limited to:

Extreme heat or cold

Heavy rain, lightning, or high winds

Unsafe or unstable ground conditions

Any other condition deemed unsafe at the Provider’s discretion
If an event is canceled by Heritage Ranch due to unsafe conditions:

The client may reschedule to a mutually agreed-upon date within six (3) months, subject to availability
-
If rescheduling is not possible, all payments made, including the deposit, will be refunded
